What we experience in childhood - whether through trauma, emotional neglect or cultural conditioning can shape us in ways we don’t realise. We internalise beliefs about who we are and how we must be in order to feel safe, seen or loved. These beliefs go on to quietly govern our adult lives. They show up in our relationships, in our work, in our inability to say no and even in how we talk to ourselves. Sometimes we live half-lives, trying to meet expectations that were never really ours to begin with.
Coaching offers a space to pause, to look inward and to begin the process of unravelling. It’s not about blaming the past but about understanding it, so we can stop repeating it. It’s about learning to see clearly the inherited programming we carry, what came from our parents, our culture, our wounds and deciding what we want to keep and what we’re ready to release.

One-to-One Coaching
My approach is gentle but deep. Together we start by exploring the roots that shaped you, what you’ve learned to believe about yourself and how those beliefs are showing up now.
We look at behavioural patterns, emotional triggers, relationship dynamics and the ways you might be holding yourself back or playing small without even realising it.
This isn’t therapy. We don’t stay in the past - we visit it just long enough to understand it. From there we work actively and practically to create change in the present.
Throughout our work together I hold spacefor you, I ask the difficult questions, offer tools and insights and reflect back to you what you may not yet be able to see in yourself.

Group Workshops
Workshops at Threads of Renewal offer a nurturing and grounded space to begin exploring what’s really going on beneath the surface. Together in small groups we look at the roots of our struggles - early conditioning, inherited beliefs, trauma and unmet needs so that we can start to understand what shaped us and why.
These expert-led sessions blend reflection, journalling, guided conversation and somatic practices to help you reconnect with yourself and begin to release what no longer serves. Held in the calm and healing setting of a countryside home they offer both insight and support for your personal transformation.
Healing in community is deeply powerful.

I was extremely lucky to have Surinder's number passed onto me by a friend. I've had various therapists/counsellors/psychologists over the years but it has never felt beneficial.
What I really appreciate in Surinder, is that she relates her life experience back to mine. I have just found this so helpful. It has allowed me to completely open up and admit to feelings and fears that I've had from a young age, which have formed my thoughts, actions and patterns - with no shame whatsoever - because I honestly feel that anything I say to Surinder is safe with her. I don't feel judged at all. And in the time that I've been having sessions with her, I have been able to make some breakthrough changes, albeit small, but I feel that, by having Surinder to bounce things off - I will truly be able to free myself from the burdens of my past. Working with me
On my therapeutic journey it helped me to imagine that (like a computer) a virus was put inside of us. The effect of which is that we go through life with this corrupted way of behaving and seeing ourselves and others. Thus we behave in ways that are detrimental to us because we’re looking to be loved and accepted and have some value. These patterns become ingrained and affect our health - mental and physical, our relationships and our bodies and we find ourselves in less than healthy dynamics at home and at work.
As a coach I offer a safe space to open up, to understand yourself, to see what works and does not work in your life. To reflect and to ultimately make changes. It’s never about blame but about acceptance of where you are and why. It’s about seeing the programming, letting it go and making moves to live your best life.

Since starting coaching with Surinder, I’m learning to be more compassionate to myself. I’m learning how much my childhood trauma has programmed me to make the decisions I did and become the person that I am today, always blaming myself and being my own worst critic.
She has helped me to acknowledge that little girl still in me that I left behind in the darkness. Surinder is amazing to work with and I feel she understands me completely. I can open up to her and talk about the dark parts of myself, without feeling like I’m being judged. She accepts me for who I am and is also helping me to accept myself.
